Selling my unwanted gold was a breeze. We sent off our broken gold jewellery and within 24 hours had received our payment. Thanks to The British Gold Reserve we received and excellent price for our gold.

How Do Your Payouts Compare to those from Jewellers or Pawn Shops?
Because we cut out the middlemen and subcontractors, working directly with smelters, we're able to offer highly competitive rates for your unwanted scrap gold.
How Do I Get a Quote For My Gold?
The only way to give an accurate quote for any gold deposit is to inspect it in-person. The price of gold varies from day to day, and it is never immediately obvious how much a particular item is worth. By sending your gold to us, you can rest assured that we will provide the quote which helps you get the most money possible for your item.
What is the Gold Pack?
In order to keep your unwanted gold as safe as possible on its journey to us, we use special insured packages from the Royal Mail for gold deliveries. Your pack will come with a tracking code, allowing you to track it via the Royal Mail website. This system ensures that your unwanted gold is safe from being lost or stolen in transit.
What Can I Send In?
We accept any item which contains gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and other precious metals. This might include necklaces, bracelets, rings, and other jewellery, along with coins, collectibles, decorative pieces, or even gold teeth crowns. If it contains gold, we'll gladly process it.
How Long Before I Receive My Money?
When your gold arrives at our depot, we always aim to issue a cheque within the following 48 hours, providing it is a normal working day. Please be aware that we are not responsible for any postal delays or strikes.
If I Don't Want the Cheque, What Do I Do?
If you change your mind and don't want any money for your old gold, just get in touch with us within 10 days of the date on the cheque and we'll gladly return your items. If you do not respond within 10 days we will assume you want the gold to be processed. It will not be recoverable once processed.
Do You Accept Precious Stones?
The details on what will be accepted can be easily found through the 'what we buy' link at the top of the page. If your item is not listed here but you feel as though it should be accepted, do not hesitate to get in touch.
If I Send Precious Stones for Processing, Will You Return Them?
As The British Gold Reserve is solely focused on the processing of precious metals, any precious stones sent to us will not be processed. A fee may be charged for their return postage.
If you change your mind, all you have to do is contact us within 10 days of the payment issue date on your cheque. You will then have 7 days to return the payment to us, after which we will send your jewellery back to you. For detailed information, please see our Terms and Conditions.
We strive to keep improving our 100% Satisfaction or Your Gold Back guarantee.
